Description
Cuatro del Cuatro is a wine created as a tribute to the founder of the Viña Zorzal winery and represents the most authentic essence of the Graciano grape variety. Produced in very limited quantities, it embodies the identity and character of a region dedicated to quality, in an expression that combines tradition and passion. The grapes come from estate-owned vineyards located in Corella, in the Ombatillo area, in Navarra.
The wine is made exclusively from Graciano grapes, handpicked in small crates, selecting only the best clusters. Alcoholic fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in second-passage French oak barrels. The entire process is followed with minimal intervention, with delicate fining and filtration and no stabilization.
It shows a bright garnet color of medium intensity. On the nose, it reveals an intense and clean aromatic profile, with hints of red and woodland fruits, accompanied by earthy and spicy notes. On the palate, it is dry and fresh, with marked acidity, a broad and well-balanced structure. The flavors of woodland fruits and spices blend with slight herbal nuances and a bitter touch, distinctive expressions of the Graciano. It finishes with good persistence and a pleasant mineral accent.
Ideal to pair with flavorful first courses, legumes, cured meats, or grilled meats.
