Description
The Nebbiolo d’Alba by Bruno Giacosa is a red wine from Piedmont, made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Langhe area, between the towns of Barolo and Barbaresco. Regarded as one of the emblematic wines of Langhe tradition, it represents an elegant expression of the grape variety and the winemaking style of the historic winery founded by the Giacosa family. This Nebbiolo genuinely reflects the territory, offering balance, finesse, and notable aging potential.
The grapes are carefully selected and vinified following a traditional approach that involves alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine continues its journey with about twelve months of maturation in large wooden barrels, followed by an additional period of rest in the bottle, allowing the wine to achieve greater harmony and expressiveness.
In the glass, it shows a ruby red color with garnet highlights. The bouquet is elegant and complex, with floral notes of violet and dried flowers interwoven with aromas of small red fruits, cherry, and delicate spices accompanied by balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is full and refined, with pleasant and well-integrated tannins supporting a balanced structure and leading to a persistent, harmonious finish.
It pairs perfectly with mushroom risottos, roasted or stewed meats, game, and aged cheeses.
