Description

Valmaggiore is a Nebbiolo d’Alba by Sandrone produced in the Roero, in the municipality of Vezza d’Alba, where a natural amphitheatre exposed to the sun and characterized by sandy soils offers ideal conditions to express the elegance and finesse of this grape variety; the result of attentive, manual viticulture, it represents one of the most refined interpretations of Nebbiolo, capable of blending tradition, character of the territory and expressive precision.

Vinification takes place through spontaneous fermentation with maceration in open steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and maturation in French oak barrels; the wine then continues refining in the bottle for several months, allowing a gradual integration between structure, freshness and aromatic component.

It shows a garnet red colour, typical of Nebbiolo; on the nose, it expresses itself with elegant floral notes of rose, accompanied by hints of cherry and citrus fruits such as blood orange and pink grapefruit, enriched with spicy nuances, while on the palate it reveals a fine and balanced texture, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity and a long finish where mineral and slightly earthy notes emerge.

It pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, roasts and traditional Piedmontese preparations.
