Description
The Pauillac from Château Pichon Baron, classified as a 2nd Grand Cru Classé in 1855, is born from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes sourced from the oldest vineyards of the estate.
The harvest is conducted separately for each grape variety when the perfect level of ripeness is achieved. The aging process extends for 18 months, mostly in new oak barrels and partly in first-passage barrels, which impart complexity and character to the wine.
It appears in a garnet red color. On the nose, it offers delicate notes of blackberry and spices. The entry on the palate is round and generous, characterized by a sublime power and well-integrated tannins.
It pairs best with red meats, including grilled, mushroom-based dishes, and main courses.
