Description
The Albariño of Martín Códax is the flagship wine of the Galician winery, produced in the heart of the Val do Salnés, within the Rías Baixas denomination. The Albariño grapes come from selected and handpicked vineyards, cultivated close to the Atlantic Ocean, which imprints freshness and maritime character to the wine. Created in 1986, it represents the traditional essence of this area and reflects in every bottle the varietal purity and strong territorial identity.
The vinification follows a rigorous process aimed at preserving the authenticity of the grape variety. After manual harvesting, the grapes are carefully processed to maintain the freshness and minerality, distinctive characteristics of the Albariño from Rías Baixas. The entire production process is designed to enhance the aromatic profile and ensure balance and taste precision.
In appearance, it is clean and bright, with a straw yellow color and greenish reflections. Intense citrus aromas of lime and notes of green apple emerge on the nose, accompanied by mineral and marine undertones. On the palate, it offers a decisive entry, with good density and harmony, and a long fruity finish that emphasizes its freshness.
It pairs magnificently with seafood, fish, white meats, rice-based dishes, and fresh cheeses.
