Description
Nas Dunas Albariño is a white wine produced by Bodegas Fulcro in the Salnès area of Galicia, made from Albarino grapes grown in a small plot characterized by very old vines. The plants sink their roots into sandy soils with a clayey subsoil, capable of giving the wine a unique combination of elegance and depth.
The winemaking process involves spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in 700-liter oak barrels, followed by a 12-month aging process in the same containers. After bottling, the wine rests for an additional 19 months in glass to refine its expression. The production process aims to enhance the characteristics of the grape variety and the site, with a limited annual production.
The aromatic bouquet opens with notes of ripe white fruit, candied citrus, dried flowers, and subtle hints of almond and flint. The sip is complex, saline, and layered, with a creamy texture and a long, harmonious finish.
It pairs ideally with baked fish, crustaceans in sauce, or aged soft cheeses.
