Description
Flor de Pingus is a red wine produced in the Ribera del Duero region of Spain by Dominio de Pingus. Made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes, it represents an affordable alternative to the prestigious Pingus, while maintaining the exceptional quality that has made producer Peter Sisseck famous. The grapes, sourced from vineyards between 25 and 50 years old, are grown on sandy soils and subject to a continental climate.
After fermentation, which occurs with traditional methods and with the use of only indigenous yeasts, this wine is aged for 18 months in both new and used French oak barriques. This process helps develop its complex and structured character.
Bright and intense cherry red in color, it releases a bouquet of red berries and ripe fruit, enriched with notes of aging, spices and eucalyptus. On the palate it is tasty and voluminous, with sweet and well-integrated tannins that give a pleasant softness. The finish is long and persistent, characterized by an elegant harmony between freshness and structure.
This quality red wine pairs beautifully with red meat and game dishes, enhancing the intense and spicy notes of the wine.
