Description

Triennia is a prestigious red wine from Ribera del Duero, made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes grown in the Pago Carronda vineyard, at an altitude between 900 and 950 meters. The low yield and the favorable climatic conditions of this terroir contribute to obtaining grapes of exceptional quality. It is a wine that embodies power, elegance, and longevity, representing one of the highest oenological expressions of Bodegas Portia.

The winemaking process involves a rigorous selection of grapes, fermentation at a controlled temperature of 28°C, and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. The aging takes place in two distinct phases in new barrels: an initial 12 months, followed by a further period of 25 days in different barrels to confer complexity without overshadowing the fruit.

In the glass, it presents a cherry red color with ruby highlights and a very high concentration. The aromatic profile is intense and refined, with notes of mature and dehydrated fruit (plum, apricot), licorice, and cocoa. On the palate, it is broad, full-bodied, savory, with powerful but well-integrated tannins, excellent acidity, and a fleshy, tasty structure that delivers a long and persistent finish.

Perfect with desserts based on dark chocolate and salty accents or with succulent chops cooked on vine shoots.
