Description
Colección Vivanco Parcelas de Mazuelo is a red wine from Rioja made from Mazuelo grapes sourced from two selected vineyards located in Agoncillo and Alberite. This wine represents an authentic and distinctive expression of a traditional grape variety, able to unite concentration, balance, and a strong territorial identity.
The vinification process involves manual harvesting in small crates and separate fermentations for each plot, with cold macerations and the use of natural yeasts. The wine is then refined in French oak barriques from different origins, maintaining contact with fine lees to develop complexity, structure, and depth.
In the glass, it displays an intense purple-red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet with notes of black and red fruit, such as blackberry and raspberry, accompanied by earthy, herbal hints and subtle touches of coffee and minerality. On the palate, it is balanced and enveloping, with soft tannins, balsamic notes, and a long, persistent finish.
It pairs perfectly with grilled red meats, stews, and rich dishes with structured sauces.
