Description

Gran Reserva 904 is a prestigious red wine produced by La Rioja Alta, using Tempranillo and Graciano grapes from vineyards located in Villalba, Briñas, Rodezno, and Fuenmayor. This wine represents a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, with a strong connection to the terroir and a constant focus on quality at every stage of the production process.

The vinification involves hand-picking the grapes in small crates, with subsequent refrigerated transport to the winery to preserve the fruit's freshness. After an optical selection berry by berry, the must ferments in tanks for 21 days, followed by a natural malolactic fermentation. Aging takes place for four years in American oak barrels, made in-house, with traditional manual racking every six months, before bottling without filtration to maintain the aromatic integrity intact.

Visually, it presents an elegant garnet red color. On the nose, it expresses great aromatic complexity with notes of wild strawberries, red cherries, plums, blackberries, and red currants, enriched by hints of tobacco, brioche, ground coffee, caramel, cedar, and cinnamon flowers. On the palate, it offers a perfect balance between alcohol and acidity, with silky tannins and freshness that give a fine, delicate, and persistent sip.

It pairs perfectly with meats, stews, spicy fish, and desserts made with chocolate or red fruits.
