Description
The Roero Arneis from the Giacomo Fenocchio winery originates from the hills of Monteu Roero, where the vineyards, facing southeast at an altitude between 300 and 350 meters above sea level, root in medium-textured calcareous-clay soils. The Arneis variety, cultivated over 1.5 hectares of land, expresses its elegance and typicity in this context, thanks to viticulture practices on vines aged 10-15 years.
The winemaking process involves gentle pressing of the grapes, followed by cold settling of the must in stainless steel vats. After 24-36 hours, the must is separated from the sediments and set to ferment at a controlled temperature. The aging process takes place entirely in steel before bottling in sterile conditions to preserve freshness.
The wine appears in a deep straw yellow color with greenish highlights. The aroma is subtle yet complex, with delicate floral notes of broom and chamomile and hints of fresh fruit. On the palate, it is tangy, full-bodied, and very persistent, offering a pleasant sensation of balance and liveliness.
Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with sauced dishes, white meats, and grilled fish.
