Description

What kind of wine is it

Romio’s Trebbiano di Romagna is a white wine from the hills of Romagna made exclusively from Trebbiano grapes. It features a fresh style, easy to drink, with an elegant and genuine profile. Steel tank fermentation at controlled temperature preserves the aromatic fragrance of the grapes and offers a fresh, mineral wine with notes of acacia flowers and apple. It’s an ideal choice for those seeking a versatile and approachable white.

Where does it come from

It comes from the hills of Romagna between Forlì-Cesena and Ravenna. The vineyards are located on the Romagna hills, mainly with clay soils. The Adriatic Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and warm, breezy summers, encourages balanced grape ripening. The deeply rooted local tradition supports the production of fragrant, ready-to-drink wines.

How it is produced

The Trebbiano grapes are brought quickly to the winery after harvest. They are destemmed and softly pressed. The must is clarified by gravity and ferments in steel tanks at controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine is stabilized and prepared for bottling, preserving its original freshness.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, clear and bright. The nose reveals acacia flowers and green apple. On the palate, it offers lively freshness and a good balance of acidity and mineral savoriness. The sip is sleek and medium-bodied with a clean, harmonious finish.

Pairings

Romio’s Trebbiano di Romagna pairs well with fresh pasta dishes with vegetables, seafood risottos, and fish soups. Its acidity and minerality make it a great match for oily fish such as gratinéed anchovies or braised mackerel. Locally, it complements the classic piadina romagnola with squacquerone and rocket, and enhances mixed fried seafood.

When to serve it

Serve chilled in large glasses to highlight its aromas. This wine is best enjoyed young, showcasing freshness and minerality. Its structure supports brief bottle aging, but it’s meant to be enjoyed right away.
