Description

Rosso di Montalcino from Tenimenti Ricci originates around Podere Il Casello, south of Montalcino, from the same vineyards that gave birth to his "older brother", Brunello.

It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese Grosso grapes, harvested entirely by hand when fully ripe. Once the fermentation phase is over, the wine remains for 6 months in cask, followed by a further 2 months of aging in bottle. §

It is a soft red wine. On the nose there are lively floral notes of violet and red rose, surrounded by hints of sour cherry and pink pepper. On the palate it is slightly tannic, fresh and satisfying.

Try it with keftedes, agnolotti with truffles and deviled chicken, it is excellent in the company of game.
