Serrapetrona DOC Morò 2012 Fontezoppa
Description
Morò was born in the vineyards of Cantine Fontezoppa, located in the Serrapetrona DOC, in the province of Macerata.
Obtained exclusively from Vernaccia Nera grapes, an autochthonous grape of the Macerata province, the Morò develops its characteristics after aging for 18 months in barrique, followed by about 12 months of aging in bottle, before being put on the market.
It shows a ruby red color of good intensity and density. The nose is pronounced with interesting spicy hints that combine well with the fruity component, typical of the grape, and with woody sensations, due to the permanence in wood. Full-bodied wine, it proposes spicy aromas in the mouth, supported by prompt tannins and a good alcoholic strength.
Thanks to its organoleptic characteristics it finds its perfect match in important dishes based on red meat and game.
