Description
The white wine Bertolino Soprano by Mandrarossa is a Sicilian wine made from Sicily's native white grape, Grillo.
The grapes are harvested during the first week of September. After cryomaceration for 5-6 hours, the must ferments in temperature-controlled steel vats for 15-20 days. Finally, the wine ages in cement (tulipe) tanks for one month and in large barrels for 11 months.
In the glass, it has a straw yellow color with golden highlights. The bouquet features intense fruity aromas of citron and peach on a background of floral and herbal notes. On the palate, it is fresh and savory, with excellent persistence.
Excellent to accompany legume soups and baked vegetables, but also grilled fish.
