Description
The Frappato by Feudi del Pisciotto is a medium-bodied young red wine, produced in Niscemi with 100% Frappato grapes, one of the oldest native vines of Sicily. The vineyards are cultivated on medium-textured soils rich in skeleton, at an altitude of about 100 meters above sea level. It is part of the Colori di Sicilia line, which celebrates the historical varieties of the island, with a label that evokes the strength of volcanic lava with fiery red brushstrokes, inspired by the ceramics of the master Giacomo Alessi.
The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks to emphasize freshness and varietal aromas, with natural malolactic fermentation. The aging involves four months in steel and two months in the bottle.
In appearance, it presents a lively ruby red color with violet reflections. The aromatic bouquet opens with intense aromas of red fruits such as strawberry and pomegranate, enriched by floral notes of rose and freesia. On the palate, it is fragrant, soft, and well-balanced, with a freshness that invites drinking.
It pairs perfectly with grilled vegetables, cured meats, and fish dishes such as soups and stews.
