Description
A riot of colors exalted in a variegated mosaic, "Li Ciuri," meaning the flowers in the Sicilian dialect, represents a tribute to its terroir, both in the label that recalls the majolica of Caltagirone and in the name, which weaves an authentic connection with Sicily.
Nero d'Avola Li Ciuri is a wine originating in Western Sicily, in the immediate vicinity of Trapani. The grapes are manually harvested, strictly, during the first ten days of September. Once in the winery, the grapes undergo destemming and are then gently pressed. This is followed by maceration at controlled temperature and aging, for a duration of 3 months, in the bottle.
Its intense ruby red color shines in the glass, with reflections tending towards purple. On the nose, it expresses subtle hints of wild blackberries, cherries, currants, and blueberries, which blend admirably with its peppery notes and cloves. On the palate, it is broad, soft, velvety, closing with a pleasantly persistent finish.
It is the ideal wine to accompany main courses of meat and aged cheeses.
