Description
The Taurasi by Feudi di San Gregorio originates from vineyards located in the heart of the Taurasi DOCG. Elegant and refined, the “The Nutcracker” package is the perfect choice to celebrate the magic of Christmas. Ideal for adding a touch of class to the holidays and making toasts and shared moments with loved ones even more special.
It is made from pure Aglianico grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in steel tanks for about 3 weeks. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 18 months in medium-toast French oak barrels and for another 9 months in the bottle before being released on the market.
It has a bright ruby red color, with garnet reflections. On the nose, it opens with intense scents of black cherry and sour cherry, enriched with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and anise. On the palate, it appears full and balanced, with soft tannins that lead to a pleasantly aromatic and persistent finish.
A wine of great longevity, it proves perfect for accompanying red meat roasts. Ideal when paired with noble poultry and braised meat.
