Description
The Taurasi Selve di Luoti by Feudi di San Gregorio originates in the municipality of Taurasi, in the locality of Fievo, from Aglianico grapes grown on deep soils of calcareous and clayey origin, typical of the Taurasi area, at a hillside altitude that helps to shape a profile of great structure and elegance.
The vinification process involves alcoholic fermentation with prolonged maceration in tanks, followed by maturation in medium-toast French oak barriques and a subsequent bottle aging, a journey that allows the wine to develop complexity, balance, and aging potential.
On the nose, it expresses itself with intensity and depth, evoking ripe red fruits, spicy notes, and balsamic hints, while on the palate it is full and enveloping, with dense and well-integrated tannins, a savory texture, and a long, harmonious persistence.
It pairs very well with structured dishes of red meat, game, braised meats, and aged cheeses.
