Terre di Cosenza Pollino Rosso Riserva DOP Lacrima Nera 2012 Feudo dei Sanseverino

The Lacrima Nera Riserva di Feudi dei Sanseverino comes from the emerging wine area of Saracena, near the Pollino National Park, in the province of Cosenza.

This wine is entirely made from grapes of the Lacrima Nera variety, harvested and selected late by hand, in mid-October. After a soft pressing of the bunches, the must ferments in steel with temperature control. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 12-16 months and further in glass before being put on the market.

The Lacrima Nera by Feudi dei Sanseverino shows a very intense ruby red color in the glass. The nose is expressed with intense aromas of black cherry and aromatic herbs, enriched with delicate spicy notes. It can be appreciated for its sapid, full and soft taste.

Perfect to combine with all dishes of the Calabrian cuisine, it is particularly suitable together with game, red meats and aged cheeses.
