Terre Siciliane IGT Pithos Rosso 2015 COS
Description
COS's Phitos Rosso comes from vineyards located in south-eastern Sicily, more precisely in the areas of Bastonaca and Vittoria.
It is made up of 60% Nero d'Avola and a remaining 40% Frappato, an autochthonous red berry variety from Sicily. Fermentation takes place inside amphorae and starts spontaneously from the action of the indigenous yeasts present on the skins, with which the must comes into contact. The refinement takes place in amphorae and later in the bottle.
It presents itself in the glass with a beautiful intense ruby red color. The nose shows a floral kit from which the rose and violet clearly emerge, enlivened by some notes of aromatic herbs. Pleasantness dominates the taste, balanced between the softness of the body, freshness and flavor. Excellent length in closing.
Ideal in accompaniment to not excessively rich preparations based on meat and salami.
