Description

A splendid native Sicilian grape variety, Frappato is masterfully interpreted by the Pellegrino winery in its line of Tareni monovarietals.

The grapes from which this pure Frappato originates are harvested from the second decade of September. A partial maceration at low temperature anticipates a traditional fermentation in red. The wine ages for 4 months in steel tanks.

Its color is bright garnet red. The nose has intense hints of red fruits and plum, which are joined by pleasant floral hints of violet. In the mouth it communicates its vivid fruity imprint, inside a fresh and balanced background.

Excellent to combine with red fish soups and boiled meats, it does not disdain recipes based on grilled white meats.
