Description
The Rosso Rosso Sancta Catharina of Cantina Dei is born in vineyards located in the splendid setting of the Sienese hills.
It is produced with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot grapes, harvested entirely by hand. The grapes undergo a soft pressing and ferment at a controlled temperature of 26-28 ° C in stainless steel, then macerate for 28 days. The wine is aged for 12 months in French Allier barriques, half of the first passage and half of the second passage, and rest in the bottle for another 12 months.
It is a wine of considerable concentration. The nose has hints of black fruits, enriched with notes of chocolate and shades of face powder. On the palate it is soft and round, with a large and elegant tannic texture. The finish is long, pleasantly spicy.
Meditation wine, it can be combined with elaborate game-based dishes and seasoned and blue cheeses.
