Description
What kind of wine it is
Bianco da Uve Leggermente Appassite Special Selection by Barbanera is a Tuscan white wine obtained from a blend of slightly dried white grapes. It presents a good concentration and a clean aromatic profile, supported by measured freshness. Fermentation at controlled temperature helps maintain clarity and definition, resulting in a round style that offers a clear mineral imprint.
Where it comes from
Produced in Tuscany by the Barbanera winery, this white wine is designed to express an immediate regional character, focusing on balance and recognizability rather than a specific varietal style, thanks to the use of a blend of white grapes.
How it is made
Harvesting takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September, when the grapes reach about 80% of optimal ripeness. After the harvest, the bunches are left to wither for 2–3 weeks until there is a weight loss of about 30%, and then they are pressed. Vinification continues at a controlled temperature between 12 and 14 °C, aiming to preserve aromatic precision and tasting freshness.
Tasting notes
In the glass it shows a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose offers scents of white flowers, citrus fruits, and tropical fruit. On the palate, the sip is enveloping, characterized by a mineral note and a discrete freshness that smoothly accompanies the tasting experience.
Food pairing
At the table, it pairs well with first courses with vegetable sauces, where its aromatic profile remains well defined. It also works with meat carpaccio and white meats, especially in delicately cooked preparations that enhance its roundness and mineral note.
When to serve it
It is ideal when you want a white wine with a well-defined character, capable of combining concentration and drinkability thanks to the slightly dried grapes. The combination of roundness, minerality, and measured freshness makes it suitable for versatile lunches and dinners, from appetizers to light main courses.
