Description

The Pinot Nero Coldaia from Podere Fortuna was born on the company's Mugello hills, in the province of Florence. The name derives from the homonymous vineyard from which this wine is made.

The grapes used for the production are exclusively Pinot Noir, harvested by hand between the end of August and the beginning of September. After a natural fermentation, without added yeasts, lasting about nineteen days, the wine is left to evolve in French oak barriques for twelve months. A further refinement in cement follows for about seven months, before the product is bottled without filtration.

Pinot Nero Coldaia has an intense ruby red color. The nose offers a delicate and elegant aroma of blackberry and cherry to which mineral sensations are combined. The entry into the mouth is fresh and very fine. The finish is very persistent with fruity and floral returns.

It goes well with grilled red meats and well-seasoned first courses, also excellent with cold cuts and aged cheeses.
