Description

The Pinot Nero Fortuni of Podere Fortuna was born on the company's Mugello hills, in the province of Florence. The name derives from the homonymous vineyard from which this wine is made.

The grapes used for the production are exclusively Pinot Noir, harvested by hand between the end of August and the beginning of September. After a natural fermentation, without added yeasts, lasting about nineteen days, the wine is left to evolve in French oak barriques for twelve months. A further refinement in cement follows for about seven months, before the product is bottled without filtration.

Pinot Noir Fortuni has an intense ruby red color, with lively purple memories. The nose offers an elegant aroma of black cherry and blackberry which is combined with mineral sensations. In the mouth it is shown sapid and of good fatness, with silky and very fine tannins. The finish is persistent with aromas of black currant and raspberry.

It goes very well with grilled red meats and game, also excellent with seasoned hard cheeses and well-seasoned first courses
