Description

The Government of San Polo comes from vineyards with a high wine-growing vocation located in Podernovi, in the south-east part of the municipality of Montalcino.

It is mainly obtained from Sangiovese grapes with additions of Merlot and Canaiolo grapes, applying the traditional technique of the "Government for Tuscan use", ie with the addition of dried grapes during a first slow fermentation in contact with the skins and after racking , which bring a greater concentration in the aromas of wine.

It has an intense ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose revolves around pleasant aromas of red fruits, enriched with notes of dried fruit and jam. The sip is powerful and well structured, with soft tannins and a long final persistence.

Ideal to accompany savory or game dishes, it is perfect in combination with blue and aged cheeses.
