Description
Grattamacco's Alberello is a red wine obtained from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, grown in the Bolgheri area using the traditional alberello training system. This method, particularly suited to hot and dry climatic conditions, allows for the production of concentrated, high-quality grapes that fully express the character of the territory.
The winemaking process involves manual harvesting and spontaneous fermentation of the grapes harvested together, with long macerations to favor aromatic and structural extraction. The wine is then aged in barriques for an extended period, developing complexity, balance, and depth.
In the glass, it presents an intense ruby red color. The nose offers a rich and multifaceted bouquet, with notes of ripe fruit accompanied by spicy nuances and subtle toasted sensations. On the palate, it is structured and elegant, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent finish that expresses balance and intensity.
It pairs perfectly with red meats, game, and structured dishes from Mediterranean cuisine.
