Description

Massaia is a fragrant and mineral rosé produced by Viticcio in the vineyards of Greve in Chianti, from Sangiovese and Syrah grapes in equal parts. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 300 meters, facing north and northwest, on clayey soils with the presence of skeleton and alberese stones. The vines, trained in Guyot, are between 8 and 18 years old and are managed according to certified organic practices.

The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel at low temperature (13°C), without malolactic fermentation occurring. The wine then ages for 5 months on the lees in steel, with cold stabilization.

To the eye, it is a brilliant pale pink. The nose opens with scents of sweet fruits, wild strawberries, raspberry, and citrus. The sip is fresh, with great acidity, delicate tannins, and a persistent finish with citrus and spicy nuances.

Ideal with light appetizers, summer salads, raw fish, or first courses with fresh vegetables.
