Description

Fred is an innovative wine from Rubbia al Colle, a young, elegant and drinkable red that is born in the heart of the Maremma Livornese, a place characterized by contrasting natural elements, within a varied panorama that extends between the hills and the sea.

It is the result of a unique blend, composed of Petit Verdot grapes harvested early in the hill, Syrah grapes from the foothills where the land is more humid, and Sangiovese from the warmer and breezy areas located near the sea. In contrast with the long macerations currently in vogue for the reds, the Fred differs for an almost white vinification, with a maceration of a maximum of 2 days, at low temperature, which slightly extracts the tannin and maximally preserves the aromatic aspect of the grapes. It follows refinement in oak barrels for several months, to balance the color and develop its aromatic complexity.

It is bright red in color. The nose has a large and intense bouquet, with hints of red fruit, accompanied by intriguing balsamic and spicy notes. On the palate it is linear and complex

Ideal to accompany the meal but also to be served fresh as an aperitif, at the table or at the bar.
