Description

What kind of wine it is

Tinata di Monteverro is a Tuscan red wine made from a blend of Syrah and Grenache. This wine is distinguished by its smooth and velvety profile, which is enhanced by a pleasant freshness and a well-defined aromatic framework. Spontaneous fermentation takes place separately for each parcel in steel tanks and barriques, followed by a targeted aging process that defines a technical and elegant style.

Where it comes from

The grapes grow in Capalbio, in the heart of the Maremma Toscana. This southern Tuscan location provides the wine with a distinctive character closely tied to its environment. The focus on this province reflects the deep connection between the local climate and the glass, offering an authentic and coherent expression of the Maremma territory.

How it is produced

Production starts with manual harvesting and selection of the bunches in September. After natural fermentation is carried out for each individual parcel, the wine is aged for sixteen months in French oak barriques. Part of the batch matures in egg-shaped concrete tanks, a technique that defines the final structure and preserves the integrity of the fruit.

Tasting notes

In the glass it shows a ruby red color with purple tinges. On the nose it reveals elegant notes of cranberry, melon and cherry, intertwined with floral hints of tulip. The palate is smooth and velvety, sustained by a pleasant freshness. The clean finish leaves a long persistence redolent of cherry, wild berries, and tobacco.

Food pairings

Thanks to its softness, it pairs well with hearty first courses and red meat dishes. Its fruity aromas and hints of tobacco are complemented by aged cheeses, such as pecorino. In local cuisine, it shines alongside pappardelle with wild boar sauce or a classic bistecca alla fiorentina.

Best occasions to serve it

This red wine is a recommended choice to enrich lunches and dinners with flavorful menus. Its balance between aromatic intensity and smoothness makes it versatile enough to harmoniously accompany the entire meal. Whether for casual gatherings or more formal settings, it offers a rewarding tasting experience that elevates special occasions.
