Toscana IGT Syrah 2007 Castello di Farnetella
Description
The Tuscany Syrah of Castello di Farnetella was born in vineyards located in Farnetella, in the Sienese municipality of Sinalunga.
It is produced with 100% Syrah grapes, harvested and selected by hand between the end of September and the beginning of October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C for 16-20 days. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for 24 months and in glass for another 8-12 months before being put on the market.
It is characterized by a deep ruby red color. The nose opens with intense hints of pepper and blackberry, enriched with notes of smoked tobacco and leather. On the palate it is soft and structured, with silky tannins that accompany towards a persistent and spicy finish.
Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with medium-aged cheeses.
