Toscana IGT Vermentino 2016 Monteverro
Description
Tuscany Vermentino di Monteverro was born in vineyards located in the Grosseto municipality of Capalbio, in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma.
It is produced entirely with Vermentino grapes, manually harvested in early September and pressed whole. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 6 months in the same containers, on the fine lees, before being bottled.
This Vermentino di Monteverro has a bright and pale yellow color, with notes of mercury on the nail. The nose opens with an explosion of pear, white peach and lime, with mineral notes, of white pepper and jonquil to enrich the picture. On the palate it is fresh and vibrant, with hints of citrus, pink grapefruit, green apple, peach and almonds.
Perfect to accompany roasted fish, crustaceans and molluscs, this white wine is ideal in combination with fresh cheeses, white meats, mushroom dishes and omelettes.
