Description

The Chianti Rufina Riserva Vigna Montesodi from Frescobaldi is born in the eponymous vineyard of Castello Nipozzano, located in Pelago, in the province of Florence.

It is produced with pure Sangiovese grapes, handpicked at the beginning of October, then fermented in stainless steel at a temperature below 35°C for 10 days, with a maceration that lasts for another 30 days. Following the malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed in Austrian and French oak barrels for 18 months and then matures in the bottle for about 6 months before being released on the market.

It is characterized by an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it exhibits aromas of violet and blackberry, followed by toasted notes of arabica coffee and spicy hints of nutmeg, cloves, black pepper, and licorice. On the palate, it is fresh, with a dense and fine texture and a generous body. The finish is long, dominated by fresh and fruity notes.

Perfect to accompany red meats, it is ideal when paired with the typical Florentine steak.
