Description

The Godello O Luar do Sil is a white wine produced by Pago de los Capellanes, celebrating the purity and identity of the Godello variety cultivated on the granite hills of Valdeorras, along the banks of the Sil River. It originates from old vines located in the Corguiño area, near the village of Seadur, on gentle slopes at an altitude between 450 and 490 meters, in an environment rich in biodiversity and minerals of granite origin.

The grapes are cultivated manually with environmentally friendly viticulture practices, then selected by hand, destemmed, and gently pressed. This is followed by a cold pre-fermentation maceration for 4-6 hours and fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature between 16 and 18°C. The wine rests on fine lees for two months at a low temperature to maintain aromatic integrity before being delicately stabilized and bottled.

Visually, it presents an attractive yellow-green color. The aromatic profile is intense and complex, with hints of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit like peach and apple, wild yellow flowers, citrus such as grapefruit and lemon verbena, and balsamic herbs typical of the area like fennel and anise. On the palate, it is fresh, energetic, and balanced, with a soft texture and an elegant finish, slightly bitter and persistent.

Perfect with grilled fish, seafood, fresh cheeses, or vegetarian dishes based on aromatic herbs and crunchy vegetables.
