Valle de Colchagua DO Carmenère Reserva 2017 Ventisquero

An absolute masterpiece of assembly, Carmenére Reserva Ventisquero is the result of the combination of a small part of Syrah grapes with Carménère grapes that dominate the blend. A pre-fermentative maceration allows to preserve and enhance the aromas, fragrances and color to the maximum. The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and is then assembled, not before the wine ages for 70% in French and American oak barrels for almost a year, and that the remaining part rests in stainless steel. It rests for another 6 months in the bottle and is therefore marketed.

It shines in the glass with its intense ruby red color tending to garnet and heralds a sense of smell full of berries, cherry, raspberry, currant, blueberries and other dark berry fruits. A background of dark chocolate closes in a final of unequivocal splendor, to give the palate a fruity, full-bodied and balanced experience.

Definitely worth trying with medium-cooked or blood-roasted red meats, with lamb and spiced pork ribs.
