Description
What kind of wine is it
Valpolicella Corte Giara by Allegrini is a red wine made from Corvina Veronese and Rondinella grapes, typical of the Valpolicella region. The balance between fruit and acidity, as noted in the tasting notes, suggests a pleasant freshness and ease of drinking. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel maintains the fruit aromas, while brief bottle aging adds maturity and provides a harmonious and approachable aromatic profile.
Where it comes from
This wine is born from the hillside vineyards of Fumane, in the heart of Valpolicella, Veneto. The characteristics of the Fumane hillside vineyards enhance the grapes and guarantee a balance between freshness and complexity.
How it is made
Corvina Veronese and Rondinella grapes are handpicked in early September and selected directly in the vineyard. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine ages for 3 months in the same tanks to achieve greater roundness. A short bottle aging of about two months completes the process, preserving freshness and aromatic integrity.
Tasting notes
Valpolicella Corte Giara shows an intense and bright ruby red in the glass. On the nose, it reveals aromas of fresh cherry and marasca, complemented by hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is dry, with a good balance between fruit and acidity.
Food pairings
This Valpolicella pairs well with Tuscan appetizers based on lardo, cured meats, and bruschetta, as well as classic Mediterranean first courses. Its freshness and balanced structure also make it suitable for roasted white meats and medium-aged cheeses, offering plenty of possibilities for pairing.
When to serve
It is recommended to serve Valpolicella Corte Giara in a large tulip-shaped glass to enhance the aromas. It is ready to drink and ideal within the first three years to appreciate its vivacity and fruity notes. Its good structure and balanced acidity also allow consumption after short cellar aging, with no need for long maturation.
