Description
Rosso di Valtellina di Balgera comes from the terraced vineyards that characterize the mountainous wine-growing area of Lombardy par excellence.
The 100% Nebbiolo grapes, locally called Chiavennasca, come from vineyards located near Chiuro, in the province of Sondrio. During the harvest, the grapes are selected and then transported to the cellar. After a rather long maceration and fermentation phase, the wine ages in oak barrels.
Bright ruby red, at sight. Its scent recalls violet and forest fruit which, accompanied by an earthy note of undergrowth, immediately brings back to the context of the mountain from which it comes. In the mouth it shows a good balance and a good drink marked by the juice. Freshness and body coexist and are wrapped in a tannic texture of great elegance.
Perfect to accompany a plate of assorted cow's milk cheeses.
