Description

The Valtellina Superiore Grumello is a red wine produced by the Casa Vinicola Aldo Rainoldi, a historic company founded in 1925 in Lombardy. Made from the Nebbiolo grape variety, locally known as Chiavennasca, it comes from vineyards located between 350 and 600 meters above sea level in the municipalities of Sondrio and Montagna in Valtellina, where the terroir gives the wine elegance and complexity.

The winemaking process includes aging in large oak barrels for about 20 months, followed by blending in steel tanks for two months before bottling. The wine then rests in the bottle for six months in cool, dark cellars, thus completing its evolutionary process and gaining greater harmony.

With a ruby red color, it is characterized by a delicate and ethereal scent, with notes of hazelnut and small red fruits. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, of good body, with a pleasant drinkability that makes it an authentic and refined expression of Valtellina Nebbiolo.

This wine is perfect when paired with white and red meats, as well as roasted vegetables, offering a balanced and versatile gastronomic experience.
