Description

What kind of wine is it

Scaia by Tenuta Sant’Antonio is an authentic still red wine born in the heart of Veneto. Made from Corvina grapes, this red expresses with clarity the character of the Veronese territory. Fermentation in steel gives it an intense and savory profile, characterized by a well-balanced body that enhances the immediacy and purity of the fruit.

Where does it come from

This red comes to life from selected vineyards located in the municipalities of Colognola ai Colli and Mezzane di Sotto, within the province of Verona. The connection with the Veronese land can be felt directly in the glass, where it presents a ruby red color with purple highlights and a particularly clean aromatic expression.

How is it produced

Production begins with a meticulous manual grape harvest, followed by gentle cold maceration and soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, a technique chosen to preserve the fruit’s freshness intact. Finally, the wine continues its aging in steel, a decision that ensures a technical purity and impressive consistency of flavor.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows clear purple shades. The nose offers a well-defined floral bouquet, enriched with aromas of red rose and violet, combined with notes of black cherry, cherry, and wild berries. On the palate, it is pleasantly savory and intense, offering a harmonious progression that supports the palate and leaves a lasting sensation of freshness.

Food pairings

The versatility of this red makes it a great companion for first courses and risottos, thanks to its sapidity, which balances well with sauces and creamy dishes. It pairs beautifully with aged cheeses, where the aromatic intensity supports the palate. At the table, it harmoniously enhances roasts, red meats, and white meat preparations, as it accompanies every succulent or slow-cooked dish.

When to serve it

This red is the perfect choice for lunches and convivial dinners, suitable for accompanying an entire menu, from starters to meat dishes. Thanks to its steel aging, it is ideal when looking for a smoothly drinkable wine, but with a perceptible savory character. It is a label designed to share enjoyable moments at the table, always ensuring a balanced and immediate sip.
