Description

I Piani is a Vernaccia di San Gimignano from Fattoria La Torre made from 100% Vernaccia grapes, grown in the Casalchino and Ghinzano vineyards, at an altitude of 410 meters. The vines have an average age of 30 years and thrive on medium-textured soils rich in skeleton, a faithful expression of the Tuscan hilly territory.

The grapes are refrigerated in crates at 2°C for 24 hours before the gentle pressing of the whole bunches. The must is then cold stabilized for 10 days, statically decanted and transferred to start fermentation at 16°C in first and second passage French oak barrels, with weekly batonnage. At the end of fermentation, the wine is racked and returned to wood for further aging for 12 months, before bottling in concrete tanks.

In the glass, it presents a bright golden yellow color. On the nose, it offers complex aromas of ripe fruit, honey, white flowers, and light toasted notes. The palate is wide, elegant, with a well-defined mineral structure and a long lingering flavor that highlights its decisive and refined character.

Ideal paired with delicate white meats, fish soups, or first courses with creamy sauces.
