Description
Pinot Bianco Versalto by Alois Lageder is a white wine made from Pinot Bianco grapes grown in vineyards located between Tirolo near Merano, Pochi, and Penone, on stony, sandy, and calcareous soils.
Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in steel, while aging occurs on fine lees, partly in steel and partly in wooden barrels, to provide balance, precision, and a pleasant depth of flavor.
In the glass, it appears clear, pale yellow with greenish highlights; on the nose, it is slightly aromatic, fruity with hints of pome fruits and mineral notes, while on the palate it is medium-bodied, full, elegant, rigorous, fresh, and dry.
It pairs well with appetizers, asparagus, fish, shellfish, white meats, and poultry.
