Description

QSS Rare is a red wine produced in Portugal in the Lisbon region, made from vineyards located in Arruda dos Vinhos, characterized mainly by hilly slopes. The area enjoys a Mediterranean climate with strong Atlantic influence, which helps maintain balance and freshness in the grapes. The clay-limestone soils contribute structure and elegance to the wine. It is made from a blend of varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, which together bring aromatic intensity and a contemporary character.

The winemaking process begins with a cold maceration stage to encourage the extraction of primary aromas from the skins. This is followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of about 25°C, a process that preserves the aromatic purity of the grapes and the freshness of the wine, while also maintaining good structure.

In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color. The aromatic profile is expressive and rich, with notes of wild berries accompanied by delicate hints of chocolate. On the palate it is smooth and elegant, with a balanced texture and a pleasant persistence that enhances its drinkability.

It pairs particularly well with vegan cuisine.
