Description
La Volta di Cantina della Volta is a dry, semi-sparkling red wine made from grapes grown on the alluvial soils of the Secchia River. It is a terroir-driven expression with a fresh, approachable character, conceived to highlight the liveliness and fruity component of the selected grapes.
The grapes are hand-harvested in small crates and undergo cold maceration in the press. The first alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature; afterwards, the wine is racked off the lees and bottled under a crown cap.
In the glass it shows a brilliant ruby color. The bouquet is intense and fragrant, with notes of small red fruits—redcurrant, wild strawberry, raspberry and cherry—accompanied by delicate floral hints of fresh rose and peony. On the palate it is moreish and lively, marked by a pleasant balance between freshness and a subtle saline edge.
Ideal as an aperitif and alongside cured meats, Emilian specialties, flavorful first courses and lighter meats.
