Description

Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu Sec from Domaine Huet is a white wine produced in the Loire region of France. This wine is made from Chenin Blanc grapes grown on very deep clay-limestone soils, with vineyards that have an average age of 25 years. Sarah Hwang runs Domaine Huet, using biodynamic farming methods.

The winemaking involves spontaneous fermentation in demi-muid barriques with temperature control and refinement in steel containers. This process gives the wine a notable freshness and structure.

Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu Sec has a linear, fresh and balanced taste, with great harmony and concentration. The finish is long and persistent, deeply reflecting the Loire region.

This wine pairs perfectly with bonito tartare, Catalan lobster or seafood risotto.
