In Castello di Montepò , a place full of Maremma history, Jacopo Biondi Santi has managed to make the Maremma territory the ideal reality for the production of the Sangiovese Grosso clone, BBS11, the exclusive heritage of the Biondi Santi family. Here the vineyard extends over 50 hectares of the estate's total of 600.

Fresh, round and dynamic wine, whose name is inspired by an erratic boulder of volcanic origin, the Sassoalloro , gives life to a new interpretation of Sangiovese Grosso. Extremely elegant, soft and velvety with fresh and fruity hints, it undoubtedly has a longevity potential of 15 to 20 years. Sassoalloro Oro was created for the 30th anniversary (1991-2021) of Sassoalloro in collaboration with winemaker Donato Lanati. A wine with silky tannins, with aromas of violet and red fruit enriched by woody notes.
