Gancia
Founded in 1850 by Carlo Gancia in Chivasso, Gancia is considered the pioneer of Italian sparkling wine. After learning the champenoise method techniques in Reims, Carlo decided to adapt them to the Moscato grapes of Piedmont, creating the first Italian sparkling wine in 1865. With a long history of innovation and international success, the company has received prestigious awards, including the title of "Supplier to His Majesty the King."
Over the years, Gancia has successfully combined tradition and modernity, launching iconic products like "Pinot di Pinot" and entrusting renowned artists such as Leonetto Cappiello for its communication. The Historic Gancia Cellars, restored in 2003, represent a unique architectural testimony and were included in 2014 among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, within the “Vineyard Landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato.”
Since 2011, the company has been led by Roustam Tariko, a Russian entrepreneur and owner of Russian Standard Vodka, with the aim of strengthening the brand's international position while maintaining a strong link with its historical roots and artisanal know-how. Today, Gancia is a symbol of Italian excellence worldwide, thanks to a production that combines quality, elegance, and passion for the territory.
Gancia’s headquarters are located in Canelli, the heart of Moscato Bianco production, in an area renowned for its "underground cathedrals," historic wine aging spaces that represent one of the most spectacular symbols of Italian oenology.
