It was in 1898 that Francesco Nicosia decided to open the first wine shop on the eastern slope of Etna, in Trecastagni. The particular location of the vineyards, on the eastern side of Etna, gives the wines particular characteristics of sapidity and minerality, with a pleasant volcanic exuberance .

Characteristics that can be found in Etna Rosso Vulkà (93 pts Suckling), a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, an authentic interpretation of the Etna terroir, capable of combining elegance and drinkability. As well as in Munti's Etna Rosso Lenza 720 m.s.l.m. (95 pts Decanter), a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes from vineyards located at an average altitude of 720 meters above sea level and located on lands of lava origin. Of a beautiful bright ruby red, it offers a complex nose of great intensity with red fruits accompanied by floral hints. Soft and lively on the palate, it maintains the fruity texture for a full and enveloping sip followed by a persistent finish. Also interesting is the Etna Rosato Lenza di Munti 720 m.s.l.m. (92 pts Suckling), made from Nerello Mascalese grapes. The volcanic origin and the altitude of the vineyards give the wine a marked minerality, a remarkable freshness and an unmistakable style which is also striking for the complexity of its floral and fruity aromas.

Noteworthy are the wines of the Fondo Filara and Falde lines. The Terre Siciliane Nerello Mascalese Syrah Frappato Falde is surprising, the result of a blend of one of the most well-known native Sicilian red grape varieties, Nerello Mascalese, combined in marriage with fine red grape varieties such as Syrah and Frappato. But it is perhaps in Passicato that Nicosia experiments the most: a blend of autochthonous overripe red berried grapes, grown in the vineyards of south-eastern Sicily.
