Vie di Romans is one of the most interesting and prominent realities of Friuli Venezia Giulia, producer of some of the best Italian white wines. Located in the Goriano municipality of Mariano, in the heart of the Friuli Isonzo DOC, Vie di Romans is managed by the passionate winemaker Gianfranco Gallo, known for making revolutionary choices that led him to develop a unique style of winemaking: already induced by slow maturation of its own grapes, given by singular excursion conditions, Gianfranco is known for his propensity for late harvesting of the bunches, which allows to fully complete the ripening and accumulate as much aromatic substances as possible.

It is also guided by the firm belief that wine needs more time to fully express its potential, so it releases wines on the market a year later than usual. It is not reported on the bottle or on the manufacturer's data sheets if the refinement took place in wood or not, because for Gianfranco Gallo it is important first of all to obtain wines of good balance and to develop the potential of that specific grape variety in that specific vineyard: that's why the labels clearly show both the grape variety and the reference to the vineyard of origin.
