Gewürztraminer is one of the most appreciated grape varieties by enthusiasts for its intense aromatic charge and its delicate floral touches. Among the many examples, Alsace, Alto Adige and Friuli are undoubtedly able to enhance the characteristics of the grape that best accompanies aperitifs and regional first courses at the highest levels. An excellent example is the Gewürztraminer Domaine de la Ville de Colmar (92 pt LG) , soft and enveloping, with hints of white-fleshed fruits and bergamot that suggest a great consistency and make it suitable for soft cheeses and white meats. The floral hints of rose and citrus notes are more intense if you travel to Friuli with the Ronco del Frassino Aromatic Traminer (91 pt LG) , delicious as an accompaniment to mixed platters and foie gras. The selection closes with Gewürztraminer Blumenfeld (91 pt LG) with hints of tropical fruits, grapefruit and lychee that precisely express the unattainable heights of the mountain.
